Concrétisation

This exhibition is the concretisation of a certain process that I have been dealing with for a few years: the creation of images in a daily, fluid way that mainly exists online. Printing these and putting them on the wall for this show gives them a sense of tangi-bility. This is the concretisation of the journey of these images. These series have been created over the years, based on daily observations as well as playful experi-mentations. Some of them might not make sense given the lack of context (they were created sometimes in reaction to something happening in the news) but I think this only makes them more interesting in the sense that it challenges the viewer in finding their meaning. These images are an open invitation to discussion, they are a kind, humorous reactions to the world we live in and to the things that pick my interests on a daily base. Hope you can relate it.          

 

 

이번 전시는 지난 몇 년간, 일상적으로 작업하여 온라인을 통해 보여주었던 이미지들을 현실로 구체화 한 것입니다.스크린에 존재하던 작업물을 프린트하여 벽에 붙이는 과정을 통해 작업에 유형적 감각이 더해지고 그 이미지들은 우리의 세계로 현실화됩니다. 이 작업들은 일상 속의 관찰과 장난스러운 실험을 기반으로 오랜 기간에 걸쳐 창작된 것입니다. 때로는 그 당시의 뉴스에 대한 제 자신의 즉각적인 반응에 관한 작업도 포함되어 있습니다. 몇몇 작업들은 설명이 부족하여 불명확한 것들이 있지만, 저는 사람들이 자신들의 관점을 통해 그 모호함 너머의 의미를 찾는 과정이 그것을 더 매력적으로 만들 수 있다고 생각합니다. 이 이미지들은 일상에서 제가 꼽은 몇 가지 현상에 대한 친절하고 익살스러운 반응이며 그것에 대한 판단은 여러분의 몫입니다. 관람객 여러분들의 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.
